(no subject)
Aug. 29th, 2007 12:28 pmI have just had a grim vision of the not-too-distant future.
I go back to school the week after next.
Until the end of October, my life will be an agony of Extended Essays and UCAS and probably also something to do with TOK that I won't do until the last minute 'cause, y'know, it's TOK.
From November until January my life will be an agony of coursework. World Lit, Psychology, Maths, probably Biology too, and History. Maybe Italian if I decide to do the A2..
From January onwards, my life will be revision. By April I will have stopped sleeping. The beginning weeks of May will find me wandering the college hallways, reaching desperately out after the hallucination of the floating talking textbook which is offering me drugs to numb the pain, and jumping at small noises.
Three weeks into May or so, my exams will finish. The last word of the last paper will be the last word that ever I do write, as the pain of standardised testing wrings the last drop of life from my helpless body.
I will spend the rest of the summer in bed.
Chilling, isn't it?
